Everything you need to run your delivery operation on Zippykind. Browse by topic or use the search above.
Visit the pricing page and choose the plan that fits your delivery volume. After entering your business details and payment information, you will receive a confirmation email. Log in at zippykind.com/app to access your dispatch dashboard.
During setup, you will be asked for your company name, address, time zone, and contact information. These can all be changed later under Profile.
The dashboard is your home screen. It shows a live map of your drivers and active deliveries, along with summary statistics: tickets created today, tickets delivered, tickets in progress, and drivers on duty. From the dashboard you can create new tickets, assign deliveries to drivers, and monitor your fleet in real time.
The dashboard map updates automatically. Click any driver pin to see their current location, active tickets, and contact information. Click any ticket pin to view the delivery details.
Go to Drivers in the left sidebar and click Add Driver. Enter the driver's name, phone number, and email. Once saved, the driver will receive a push notification or email with instructions to download the Zippykind driver app (available on iOS and Android) and log in.
Drivers can be organized into teams, assigned to zones, and given individual settings for auto-assignment and notification preferences.
Click the New Ticket button on the dashboard or go to Tickets and click Add Ticket. Fill in the customer name, delivery address, phone number, and any product details. Choose a driver to assign it to, or leave it unassigned and use auto-assignment.
You can also create tickets through the REST API, the bulk uploader, or through integrated pharmacy management software like Liberty or Epic.
Operators are dispatch staff who use the web dashboard at zippykind.com/app. They can create tickets, manage drivers, view reports, and handle day-to-day dispatch operations. Operators do not deliver packages.
Drivers use the Zippykind mobile app (iOS/Android) to receive assignments, navigate to delivery addresses, and record proof of delivery. Drivers do not access the web dashboard.
You can control what each operator can see and do using the Permissions system.
Go to Settings and select the Dashboard Map tab. Click Add Zone to draw a polygon on the map that defines a delivery area. Name the zone and assign a color. You can create as many zones as you need.
Zones are used for auto-assignment: when a ticket address falls inside a zone that has drivers assigned to it, those drivers are preferred for the delivery. Zones also appear on the dashboard map so you can see where your coverage areas are.
A delivery ticket is a single delivery job. It contains the customer name, delivery address, phone number, product information (optional), special instructions, and status. Every delivery you make in Zippykind is tracked as a ticket from creation through proof of delivery.
Tickets move through statuses: Pending (created, not yet assigned), Assigned (given to a driver), En Route (driver is on the way), Delivered (completed with proof), or Cancelled.
Go to Tickets in the left sidebar. The default view shows today's tickets. Use the tabs at the top to switch between views: Today's Tickets, All Tickets, Pending, Assigned, En Route, Delivered, and Cancelled.
You can search by customer name, address, or ticket number. Use the date range filter to view tickets from specific days. The table supports sorting by any column.
There are three ways to assign tickets to drivers:
Configure auto-assignment under Settings > Auto-Assignment. You can enable proximity-based, zone-based, or both. When both are enabled, zone assignment takes priority.
Proof of delivery (POD) is the record that a delivery was completed. Zippykind captures three types of proof:
Proof of delivery is stored on the ticket and visible from the ticket details page. It is also included in the customer tracking page that your recipients see.
Go to Tickets > Uploader or use the Import page. Prepare a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) with columns for customer name, address, city, state, zip code, phone, and any product details. Upload the file, map the columns to Zippykind fields, and submit.
The uploader validates addresses and flags any rows that cannot be geocoded. Successfully imported tickets appear in the tickets list as pending deliveries.
Yes. Open the ticket details and click Reschedule. Pick a new delivery date and, optionally, a new time window. The assigned driver will be notified of the change. If the ticket has not been assigned yet, it will be available for assignment on the new date.
The color code system lets you tag tickets with colored labels for quick visual identification. You define your own color codes (for example, red for urgent, blue for refrigerated) and apply them when creating or editing a ticket. Color codes appear as colored dots in the ticket list and on the dashboard map.
The Order Manager is a separate view for businesses that receive orders before dispatching them as deliveries. It shows incoming orders in a queue, where you can review order details, accept or reject them, and convert accepted orders into delivery tickets.
This is useful for restaurants, florists, and other businesses that receive online orders and need a step between order receipt and driver dispatch.
The Drivers page lists all your drivers with their current status (on duty or off duty), active ticket count, and last known location. From here you can add new drivers, edit driver details, send push notifications, and view each driver's delivery history.
Click on a driver's name to open their detail page, which shows their complete profile, active tickets, delivery history, and track log.
The Drivers Duty Log shows a record of when each driver went on duty and off duty. This helps you track driver hours and availability. You can filter by date range and by specific drivers.
Teams let you group drivers together for organizational purposes. For example, you might have a Morning team and an Afternoon team, or group drivers by region. Teams can be used to filter reports, restrict ticket assignment, and organize your fleet.
Create and manage teams from the Teams page in the left sidebar. Assign drivers to teams from the driver edit page or the team management page.
Use the Message Center to send SMS messages to individual drivers or the Group Message feature to send messages to all drivers at once. You can also send push notifications directly from the driver detail page.
The Message Center shows conversation history with each driver organized by phone number. Messages sent and received through the Zippykind virtual phone number appear here.
After a delivery is completed, customers can leave feedback and ratings for the driver. The Feedback History page shows all customer feedback across your fleet. You can filter by driver, date, and rating to identify trends and address any issues.
The account owner can control which pages and features each operator can access. Go to Operators, select an operator, and configure their permissions. You can grant or restrict access to the dashboard, tickets, drivers, settings, reports, and other pages individually.
Operators must be assigned to a group. An operator without a group assignment cannot access the profile or account pages.
When a driver is on duty and has the Zippykind driver app open, their GPS location is sent to the server in real time. You see their position as a pin on the dashboard map. The map updates automatically so you always know where your drivers are.
GPS data is also used for auto-assignment by proximity, customer tracking pages, route optimization, and the delivery heatmap.
The Drivers Track Log shows the GPS path a driver has taken over a selected time period. It draws the driver's route on the map so you can see exactly where they went. This is useful for verifying that deliveries were made to the correct addresses and for reviewing driver efficiency.
The Heatmap visualizes where your deliveries are concentrated. Areas with more deliveries appear in warmer colors (red/orange) and areas with fewer deliveries appear in cooler colors (blue/green). Use it to identify your busiest delivery areas, plan driver assignments, and optimize your zones.
Filter the heatmap by date range, team, or individual driver.
The Routes feature calculates the most efficient order for a driver to complete their assigned deliveries. It rearranges the stops to minimize total driving distance and time.
From the routes page, select a driver and their assigned tickets. Zippykind calculates the optimal sequence and displays it on a map. You can then push the optimized route to the driver's app.
When a delivery is en route, Zippykind generates a tracking link that you can share with the customer via SMS or email. The customer opens the link in their browser and sees a live map showing the driver's location and estimated arrival time, similar to tracking an Uber or Lyft ride.
The tracking page is branded with your company information and updates in real time until the delivery is completed.
Go to Settings > Map Styles to choose from several map themes. You can select a style that matches your brand or one that is easier to read in your specific use case (for example, a high-contrast style for dispatchers working in bright environments).
Zippykind sends notifications at key moments in the delivery process:
All notification templates can be customized under Notifications in the left sidebar.
Go to Notifications in the left sidebar. You will see templates for each notification type (pickup, delivery, etc.). Edit the message text and use placeholder variables like {customer_name}, {driver_name}, {tracking_link}, and {company_name} to personalize each message.
You can enable or disable each notification type individually. For example, you can send SMS on delivery but not on pickup, or disable customer notifications entirely.
The Message Center is your SMS inbox. It shows two-way text message conversations between your Zippykind virtual phone number and your drivers or customers. Messages are threaded by phone number so you can follow the conversation history.
You can send messages directly from the Message Center. It also has an Archived tab for older conversations that you want to keep but not see in the active list.
Zippykind provides a virtual phone number for your account. This number is used to send and receive SMS messages with your drivers and customers. It keeps your personal phone number private and centralizes all delivery communications in one place.
Your virtual number appears as the sender on all outgoing SMS notifications and is the number customers and drivers can text back.
Go to Logs in the left sidebar. The logs page shows a history of all push notifications, SMS messages, and system events. You can filter by type (push, SMS, email), date range, and driver. This is useful for troubleshooting delivery issues and confirming that notifications were sent.
The Reports page provides pre-built reports for your delivery operation:
Filter any report by date range, team, or individual driver.
The Charts page shows visual graphs of your delivery data over time. You can see trends in ticket volume, completion rates, driver activity, and more. Charts are interactive and can be filtered by date range, team, and driver.
Use the Data Exporter to download your delivery data. Select the data type (tickets, drivers, customers), choose which columns to include, set a date range, and export as a CSV file. The exporter supports filtering by team, driver, and location.
Exported data can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application for further analysis.
The Scheduler shows your deliveries on a calendar view. You can see which deliveries are scheduled for each day, drag tickets to reschedule them, and get an overview of your delivery volume across the week or month.
The Zippykind REST API lets you create tickets, update statuses, retrieve delivery data, and manage drivers programmatically. Use it to integrate Zippykind with your own software, POS system, online ordering platform, or any other system.
API documentation is available at apidocs.zippykind.com. You can also access your API credentials from API Connect in the left sidebar of your dashboard.
Go to API Connect in the left sidebar of your dispatch dashboard. Your API key and account credentials are displayed there. You can regenerate your API key at any time if you need to revoke access from a previous integration.
Zippykind has native integrations for pharmacy management systems:
Zippykind also works with Zapier, which connects it to thousands of other apps without writing code. For custom integrations, use the REST API.
Visit the Integrations page to learn more.
Yes. You can configure webhook URLs in API Connect to receive real-time notifications when ticket statuses change. Zippykind will send a POST request to your URL with the ticket data whenever a delivery is assigned, picked up, delivered, or cancelled.
The Settings page has several tabs:
Go to Settings > Auto-Assignment. You can enable two modes:
You can choose to only send push notifications to on-duty drivers. When auto-assignment is off, all tickets must be assigned manually.
Go to Settings > Security to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account. When enabled, operators will need to enter a verification code from their authenticator app in addition to their password when logging in.
Industry Filters are free presets that tune your Zippykind experience to your specific business type. When you select an industry (pharmacy, cannabis, alcohol, restaurant, courier, etc.), the software adjusts its terminology, form fields, and workflow to match your operations.
For example, a pharmacy filter might label tickets as "prescriptions" and add compliance-related fields, while a restaurant filter focuses on order timing and temperature handling.
The Products Manager lets you create a catalog of products or items that you deliver. When creating a ticket, you can select products from your catalog instead of typing them manually. Each product can have a name, price, weight, and other attributes.
This is useful for businesses with a fixed set of deliverable items, like pharmacies with recurring prescriptions or restaurants with menu items.
Locations represent your physical business locations (stores, warehouses, pharmacies). If you operate from multiple locations, each one can have its own address, drivers, and settings. Tickets can be associated with a specific location for tracking and reporting purposes.
Manage locations from the Locations page in the left sidebar.
The Accounts page lets you manage your delivery customers (the people you deliver to). You can add customer records with their name, address, phone, and email. When creating a ticket, you can select an existing customer to auto-fill their details.
Customer accounts also track delivery history and notes for each recipient.
The Zippykind driver app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. After you add a driver in the dispatch dashboard, they download the app and log in with the credentials you provided.
The driver app allows drivers to:
The driver app requires an internet connection to receive new assignments, update statuses, and upload proof of delivery. GPS tracking also requires connectivity. If a driver temporarily loses signal, pending updates will be queued and sent when the connection is restored.
When a driver marks a delivery as complete in the app, they are prompted to capture proof. Depending on your account settings, this can include:
The proof of delivery is attached to the ticket and visible in the dispatch dashboard immediately.
This is configurable. Under Settings > Drivers App, you can choose whether drivers see the full customer phone number, a masked version, or no phone number at all. When the phone number is visible, drivers can tap it to call the customer directly from the app.
Go to Profile in the left sidebar and select the Membership tab. Here you can see your current plan, billing cycle, payment method on file, and account balance. You can also view your billing history.
Go to Profile > Membership and click Update Payment Method. Enter your new credit card details. The new card will be used for all future charges.
Go to Profile > My Profile to update your company name, address, phone number, email, time zone, and logo. Your company information appears on customer-facing tracking pages and notifications.
Kind Rewards is Zippykind's customer loyalty program for your delivery recipients. When enabled, your customers earn points for each delivery and can redeem rewards. This helps increase repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Configure Kind Rewards from the Kind Rewards page in the left sidebar.
The System Health page shows the status of your Zippykind services. It reports whether the API, SMS, push notifications, and other system components are operating normally. Check this page if you notice any issues with your delivery operations.
